Of je aan deze voorwaarden voldoet kunnen wij na een uitvoerig technisch en medisch vooronderzoek bepalen. Na dit onderzoek vertellen wij je ook welke behandeling voor jou het meest geschikt is. In een dergelijk geval is ooglaser chirurgie af te raden omdat dit het voorspoedig herstel van het oog na de laserbehandeling kan tegenwerken. Bespreek daarom altijd je medische conditie met jouw oogarts, ook al begrijp je niet hoe jouw ziekte van invloed zou kunnen zijn op de laserbehandeling.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast is de veiligheid en effectiviteit van ooglaserbehandelingen niet vastgesteld bij de volgende aandoeningen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Herpes simplex<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>herpes zoster<\/strong>\u00a0in het gebied rond de ogen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Glaucoom (staar)<\/strong>\u00a0of hoge druk in de oogbol.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oogontstekingen<\/strong>\u00a0(zoals uve\u00eftis\/iritis).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keratoconus<\/strong>\u00a0(dun en kegelvormig hoornvlies).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Beschadigingen<\/strong>\u00a0aan het oog.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mogelijke risicofactoren voor een niet succesvolle laserbehandeling zijn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Grote pupillen.<\/strong>\u00a0Als je te grote pupillen hebt bij weinig licht loop je het risico op afwijkend zicht na de behandeling zoals halo\u2019s en glare\u2019s. Dit kan zo hinderlijk zijn dat je niet meer kunt autorijden onder bepaalde omstandigheden. Dit onderzoek dient te worden uitgevoerd in een donkere omgeving;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Een dun hoornvlies<\/strong>\u00a0(cornea). Bij een laserbehandeling wordt een dus laagje van het hoornvlies \u2018afgeslepen\u2019 om de juiste kromming te herstellen.
